Back with the release of iPadOS 17, Apple added support for usb-c webcam and HDMI/SDI to usb-c capture card. This would add video support for any camera that has the ability to shoot in web cam mode over usb-c. Also you are able to use any camera that offers clean HDMI/SDI out support via HDMI/SDI to a usb-c capture card, connected to the iPad.
This would unlock countless possibilities:
-A videographer could shoot long form content shot in LOG internally in their camera, and capture a highlight reel pre planned sequence with Snappic, applying audio, music, and a basic LUT in mere seconds.
-Create a multi-camera video array with a video switcher like the Blackmagic Atem Mini Pro. This would be great for capturing a red carpet walk sequence, or shoot a 30 second video bio at a conference or trade show for a thousand attendees.
-Add video support from ARRI, RED, Canon, Sony cinema’s and more.
